Asia Pacific Telecenter, Inc., the customer service branch office of Better Telecom Pty Ltd (http://www.bettertelecom.com.au), a Sydney-based telecommunications company, is currently looking for a Junior Web Developer to add to its existing IT team.

As Junior Web Developer, you will be tasked with developing web-based internal systems for the company as well as with maintaining existing code. You will be assisting the Senior Web Developer in implementing the design and solutions. There would also be times you will be asked to install and manage scripts on a Linux environment.

SOFT SKILLS

• Good problem-solving skills and can think of solutions creatively.

• Good English communication skills – written and spoken. (We constantly communicate with the Sydney office).

• Ability to learn fast on your own.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with PHP and MySQL development

• Working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS

PREFERRED SKILLS BUT NOT REQUIRED (If you don\‘t have them, you must be able to catch up fast)

• CodeIgniter framework

• ExtJS JavaScript library

• Subversion

• Linux command-line

Our office is located at the 19th Floor, Trafalgar Plaza Bldg, Salcedo Village, Makati City. We work on Sydney time so work hours is from 6AM to 3PM (you will have half of the afternoon free).

Salary will be based on applicant\‘s experience. There will be a quarterly performance-based evaluation and salary review.
