Duties and Responsibilities:
· Work as part of the UNIX team as a Linux system administrator.
· Install, set-up, maintain, and manage the LINUX servers in an enterprise virtual server environment.
· Contribute to the set-up, maintenance, and management of UNIX servers.
· Install, set-up, maintain, and manage third parties software as part of the core IT infrastructure, like the backup and recovery system.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex problems in the area of his/her responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Must have a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related area.
· Must have relevant working experience in SUSE Linux server administration, installation, patch updates, and system maintenance.
· Must have relevant experience as a technical support engineer person in enterprise environment.
· Must have relevant experience in providing back-end support to other technical support teams.
· Ideally familiar with SUSE Linux security, although this is optional.
· Ideally familiar also working with system monitoring tools, although this is optional
· Novell Certified Linux Engineer (SUSE linux enterprise server).
· Relevant working experience in a controlled enterprise environment and familiarity with ITIL framework.
· Knowledge of system and network security, including knowledge of Standards, policies and technologies
