Cloud Computing Company is looking for a senior level Network & Systems Administrator to work out of its Manila office, spanning remote site locations. This position will report to the IT Manager.

Responsibilities

Server Setup and Administration

• Set up and maintain highly available, production level servers remotely.
• Upgrading/maintaining server applications, system repairs and upgrades.
• Design and deploy production LANs, WANs and Server infrastructure including Linux servers, routers, hubs, switches, load balancers, firewalls, DNS and other hardware.
• Web experience a must.
• Maintain and configure a central applications monitoring system for fault detection and SLA compliance.
• Follow-up on remediation plans for escalations to ensure quick and effective resolution.

• Ensure that all servers and their associated software applications are operational 24×7×365 with 99.99% uptime (SMS coverage is required).

User Support & Help Desk

• Serve as L3 infrastructure specialist for support team.
• Work with call-tracking system to open, update and close help-desk tickets.

• Trouble shoots day-to-day personal computer and printer operating problems. Identifies root cause and recommends and/or implements corrective action, coordinating with technical providers as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of paid work experience with UNIX (preferably BSD based) and Linux (preferably RedHat/CentOS) servers. Daily responsibilities will include monitoring, optimizing, tuning and performing daily backup of UNIX and Linux based servers.
• Must have knowledge of network technologies, firewalls, routers, switches, etc.
• Must be proficient in network protocol (i.e., TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, SMB, DHCP).
• The applicant must be proficient in the latest Linux and Mac distributions.
• Proficient at shell scripting.
• Experience w/ Ruby a plus.
• Must have flexible work hours.

• Self sufficient and good at solving diverse issues.
