Senior Mechanic

Core Duties / Responsibilities
• Undertake all tasks and works as directed by Superintendent/Port Engineer in an efficient and safe manner;
• Comply with and ensure all works are undertaken in conformance with the company Occupational Health and Safety procedures at all times;
• Attend all safety briefings and contribute to ensure all work practices and work undertaken is undertaken in a safe and efficient manner;
• Complete all Mechanical Maintenance works to a professional standard and in accordance with the company standard practices in a timely and efficient manner;
• All Mechanical Maintenance works are to comply with relevant international and local standards including being undertaken by suitably trained, qualified and experienced personnel;
• Mechanical Maintenance works include the production of written reports that comprise of plans, work procedures;
• Inspect and report on all Mechanical Maintenance works undertaken;
• Work cooperatively and jointly with team members and subcontractors to achieve completion schedules in a timely, efficient and safe manner;
• Ability to work both autonomously without supervision and/or as part of a team;
Mandatory
• Qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic.
• 3 Years experience in a marine engineering environment.
• The ability to read and understand system drawings and schematics Safety awareness skills
• Qualified 3rd / 4th Engineer
• Experience in an engineering role onboard HSC.
