Mining Engineer

Key Responsibilities
• Inspect mining areas for unsafe structures, equipment, and working condition.
• Select locations and plan surface mining operations, specifying processes, labor usage, and equipment that will result in safe, economical, and environmentally sound extraction of minerals and ores.
• Implement and co-ordinate mine safety programs, including the design and maintenance of protective and rescue equipment and safety devices.
• Design, develop, and implement computer applications for use in mining operations such as mine design, modeling, or mapping or for monitoring mine conditions.
• Prepare technical reports for use by mining, engineering and management personnel.
Qualifications & Essential Experience & Qualities
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years experience and must demonstrate a high level of knowledge and skills in the similar field.
• Good interpersonal skills and demonstrate capacity to work in a challenging environment and is driven to effectively produce and deliver results.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership qualities, values team work, self motivated and culturally sensitive.
