Scope of Work

The primary tasks and activities of the resource to be engaged are:

• Work closely with the Unix team to provide technical support and consultation for Novell SUSE Enterprise Linux operating system
• Review and enhance the current processes, procedures and tools for management of Novel SUSE Enterprise Linux server patches/updates software.
• Determine if additional hardware/software is required.

• Design and implement training roadmap for Unix team.

The following are the minimum skills required:

• Must be a Novell Certified Linux Engineer (SUSE linux enterprise server).
• Must have experience as a technical support engineer person in enterprise environment.
• Must have experience in providing back-end support to other technical support teams.
• Must have experience in linux server administration, particularly linux patch updates.
• Must have experience in documenting process flow diagrams.
• Ideally familiar also with Oracle ERP on SUSE linux, although this is optional.
• Ideally familiar also with SUSE linux security, although this is optional.

• Ideally familiar also working with system monitoring tools, although this is optional.
