full time Enterprise Applications Support Administrator

Job Description:

  • Provide Production support for critical enterprise applications and environments at agreed service levels.
  • Participate in the incident management and problem management processes as a resolver accountable for resolution, root cause analysis, and reporting including Oracle and MS SQL related issues.
  • Ensure that all production changes are processed according to established change management policies and procedures.
  • Interface with internal and external business and technical partners and cross functional IT departments.
  • Responsibilities for implementation of application installations, upgrades, patches, load testing, performance monitoring and application optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years experience with application support and troubleshooting.
  • Proven skills and experience with Windows and Unix/AIX environment
  • Experience supporting critical enterprise web-based applications, IIS Web server, and administration.
  • Knowledge and experience of TCP/IP, network administration, SSL, Packet Capturing, MS Active Directory Server and Citrix preferred.
  • Optional: Demonstrated knowledge and experience creating stored procedures, SQL tuning, creating Oracle indexes and triggers required.
  • Optional: Proven skills and experience supporting Oracle databases (versions 7, 8 and 9i) in a Unix environment, MS SQL in a Windows 2003 environment.
  • Optional: Demonstrated ability with Unix scripting, importing/exporting databases, consolidating Oracle databases, developing scripts, utilizes, and queries.
  • Optional: Experience with Java, ASP, HTML, DHTML, XML, XSL, ActiveX, COM+ troubleshooting and administration.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to translate technical issues into layman’s terms
