Mainframe/DB2/IMS Systems Engineer - for Singapore! ASAP!

Responsibilities
Key contributor, with systems-wide accountability for developing, building and maintaining IMS and DB2 systems. Responsible for all components of complex engineering and activities associated with multiple projects related to IMS and DB2 for z/OS system design, implementation and operations/user support. Works independently contributing to setting the input/output processes and working parameters for IMS and DB2 compatibility, coordination and integration with applications and other subsystems. May act as a project manager on technical projects.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1) Acquire, install, package, deploy, validate and implement installs, upgrades or maintenance for IBM and OEM products.
2) Participate in 7 x 24 primary and secondary on-call support rotation.
3) Perform problem restoration and permanent resolution during on-call assignments.
4) Responsible for providing performance and capacity analysis and reporting.
5) Participate in design, build, validation and implementation support
6) Demonstrate technical knowledge with such activities as authoring White Papers/Best Practices and Performing Proof of Concepts for New Technology, features or functions, working jointly with vendors on technical studies.
7) Demonstrate SME knowledge in multiple areas (Performance and Tuning, Automation, Product Exploitation)
8) Responsible for training of junior level systems programmers as needed.
9) Stand in / Backup support for Team Manager as needed
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 to7 years engineering experience providng full project, design, build and administration support for large complex IBM mainframe IMS and DB2 for z/OS environments. Sysplex data sharing and SMP/E experience is required.
• Must have project leadership skills, ability to provide development and testing support, Must be skilled in fundamental problem and dump analysis utilizing diagnostic tools (IPCS, GTF, RMF, Omegamon, BMC Mainview, CA Unicenter tools, IBM Performance Analyzer).
• Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, management and other technical associates in a diverse global environment.
• Proficient with MS Office/Project Management Tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projec
• Computer Science degree preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically 5-7 years of IT experience minimum.
• Desired Skills: Global project and product experience interfacing with onshore/offshore resources. Conceptual understanding of CICS, MQ, VTAM and TCP/IP. Experience with distributed connection methods and products such as DB2 Connect and IMS Connect. Familiarity with IBM mainframe replication products and methods. (InfoSphere Replication Center)
