Responsibilities:

• Learn a mission-critical application and provide day to day support and development of new functionallity
• Learn the business activities supported by the application
• Perform support and development tasks for the related applications

• Off-hours work may be required as business demands dictate

Qualifications:
The applicant must have strong analysis, design, development, and implementation skills and be proficient in each of the following:

• Bachelor’s/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), or equivalent
• 3+ years experience in IT solutions development preferably in medium to large corporate environments.

• 3+ years systems analysis, design, development, and implementation using Oracle PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting

Qualified candidates must have the following skills:

• Must be a self-starter who can pick up new technologies with minimal assistance
• Good organizational skills
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Well developed time management and prioritization skills
• Experience with project life cycle methodologies

• Confidence in working directly with users to address problems and requests

Experience in any of the following areas is an advantage:

• Knowledge of basic business principles in the transportation industry
• Knowledge of freight operations applications
• Oracle Reports
• Java
