MVS System Programmers
at PNI Business Solutions in Makati City
• Plan, install, and maintain systems software to ensure an efficient data processing environment.
• Interface with outside vendors to co-ordinate software problem resolution and pro-active patching.
• Participate in the selection, analysis, and modification of vendor supplied systems software, and adapt new systems to the operating environment.
• Perform system performance monitoring and tuning and systems configuration.
• Provide technical support to both systems development and data center operations personnel.
• In conjunction with data processing operations and audit guidelines, develop procedures and standards for operations personnel.
• May assist in evaluating, recommending, acquiring, and installing new hardware or hardware upgrades.
• Keep current on hardware and software developments.
• May act as technical advisor for systems projects, coordinating team activities, with systems development and data center operations personnel.
• Participate in quarterly compliance self assessments
• Responsible to recover the APPC mainframe system environment during scheduled COB drills and in the event of an actual COB.
• Ensures that the COB procedures are tested and kept up to date.
