full time Service Desk Engineer

Job Description:

  • Man the 24/7 Operations Desk and provides regular status updates on service problems
  • Maintain, develop and follow monitoring procedures ensuring consistent practices
  • Directly operate and monitor wireless applications and services (SMS/MMS/WAP)
  • Coordinates with the technical support of Telco operator on operational concerns
  • Escalate operational problems to appropriate departments
  • Provide timely and effective follow-up/feedback to customers for all problems, issues and

  • requests.
  • Provide ad-hoc technical support to customers
  • Manage and maintain monitoring application utilities
  • Provide assistance to some basic functions of System Administrator such as server OS

installation, data backup and
restoration, module updates, server network troubleshooting, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
  • At least 2 years equivalent work experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Has experience or knowledge in the following areas: Linux system and Network

administration; Relational databases and SQLbased
database servers
  • Self-motivated, tenacious and eager to learn
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly
  • Fresh graduates with strong potentials will be considered
  • Willing to work night and rotating shifts
