Job Description:
A start-up company needs PHP developers who will be responsible for the installation, development and ongoing maintenance of various applications including OSCommerce, Wordpress, other open-source and customized applications. The candidate must be able to lead web projects from planning to converting PSD/JPG images to cross-browser compatible css/xhtml files to production. The developer must work as part of a team while also being proactive and function independently.
Job Requirements:
Highly proficient in PHP(4 and 5) and MySQL
Experience with eCommerce application development and API integration
Proficient in OSCommerce
Proficient in XHTML, CSS and JavaScript(Jquery)
Must have a good understanding of browser compatibility issues.
Must have a meticulous attention to detail
Must have a positive attitude and absolute professionalism in the workplace
Must have a strong work ethic, able to move forward and complete tasks with minimum supervision
Must have a sense of urgency and ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks
Must have strong presentation, communication, and collaboration skills, enabling effective interaction and knowledge transfer to teammates.
Nice to have skills:
Experience using Ubuntu
Experience using NetBeans PHP IDE
Experience using SVN/GIT
Experience in Test Driven Development and/or Unit Testing
Experience in Drupal, Zend Framework or other MVC frameworks
