IT Supervisor
Job Requirements:
IT Related Degree
Proficient on principles of WAN/LAN and TCP/IP
Design and implement network infrastructure
Proficient on functions of Hub, Switch and Router
Monitor frame relay, leased line, wi-fi, VoIP & broad band connections to remote sites
Proficient on functions of PABX
Manage the POS Network Infrastructure
Management of data & voice communication.
Assure security of servers & LAN/WAN
Manage active directory
Firewall – Sonicwall, ISA
Proficient on Windows 2003 Server Services
Manage servers namely; Mail, Web, Database(e.g. SQL) , Proxy, Domain Controller, VPN
Implement server and equipment maintenance program.
Formulate disaster recovery plan and archiving of company data
Performs weekly backup of the servers
Updates of program files and virus definition files
Maintain all the servers and workstations in the company, from the Head Office to the branches
Technology Acquisition – look for new systems that maybe able to cut cost and increase productivity
Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to maximize cost savings on equipment purchases
Interact with different departments to determine areas for system automation
Define Job function of MIS staff
Training of MIS staff (Network & Systems Administration, hardware trouble shooting & repair)
Overall management of department projects
24x7 availability for troubleshooting critical systems
Knowledgeable on Information Technology best practices and standards
With minimum 2 years experience as Technical Support Supervisor or System Administrator
