Linux Administrator

Responsibilities:
• Assists in the planning, design, and implementation of mission critical servers (such as database servers, corporate email and work group, web servers, similar tools).
• Maintains security of application systems
• Plans and executes performance monitoring and tuning tasks, backup strategies, disaster recovery strategies, security monitoring, and related tasks
• Provide on-call 24/7 support as required
• Provides full range of expertise in installing and documenting different types of applications on Windows 2003/2008 platforms, Unix and different Linux flavors
• Responsible for day to day maintenance of an organization' operating systems, including backup and recovery, Group Policy Management, Publish Applications, Virtual Servers, image deployment and software patches
• Conducts iron built built security enhancement for Domain Global Policy Objects
• Manage Corporate & Data Center network
• Any other duties that may be assigned
Requirements:
Education:
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree , Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Experience:
• Open Source Software Advocate - minimum 3 years experience in implementing OSS solutions
• Working experience in Linux Environment is a must
• 3 or more years in direct experience with Cisco is also required, certification (CCNA) is an advantage.
• Specializing in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or its equivalent.
• Experience in Microsoft Windows/Linux/Unix Environment
• Must have certifications in Netwrok+ and/or Servers+ or equivalent
• Familiarity with IP PBX and VOIP Unified Communications solution
• 2 or more years of direct experience with Storage Area Network and Virtualization software
• Project implementations in a BPO/Call Centre industry
