Applications Engineer - Java Developer (URGENT)
at Oracle Phils in Taguig
Responsibilities:
• Create technical design specifications based on functional designs
• Convert design specifications into high quality working code within allocated budget and time frame
• Conduct code review of programs written by peers
• Perform unit and system integration testing
• Resolve system bugs and errors identified during all phases of testing
• Resolve service requests raised by customers according to defined processes and within set timeframe
• Ensure quality of deliverables by adhering to project standards
• Coordinate with teammates and other teams in resolving issues
• Provide regular status reports
Requirements:
• Bachelor degree in IT, Computer Science or any of its equivalent with good scholastic records
• At least three (3) years work experience in the same capacity
• At least two (2) years work experience in Java
• Good SQL skills with experience in developing RDBMS applications
• Good understanding of relational database design and normalization
• Ability to read and understand data models
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and methodology
• Background on object-oriented design and development
• Good understanding of application development in a multi-tier environment
• Experience in any of the following is a plus: C#, XML, .NET, Cobol, Perl, Python or Unix shell scripts
