Senior .Net Developers

Key Responsibilities
- Development of new web application products, web services or creating new base / framework objects or specific business logic;
- Enhancement of existing web application products, web services or creating new base / framework objects or specific business logic;
- Work as an integrated component of an agile team responsible for enhancing existing systems or developing new systems in order to meet our client's stated objectives;
Core Responsibilities - Application Development
- Develop application and modules to design specification using our client's specified coding standards and methodologies;
- Database design and development;
- Perform unit testing in relation to the testing processes in conjunction with testing manager;
- Provide technical support to business analysts / solution designers as required;
- Meet sprint time-lines and reporting requirements;
Core Responsibilities - Quality Management
- Provide technical support for functional, system, regression, user acceptance and upgrade testing;
- Regular peer code reviews;
- Ensure full code coverage within testing, and
- Design local and unit tests to meet functional and technical design specifications ;
- Repair defects in priority order;
- Minimize number of bugs released within code through proactive development activity;
Position Reporting
Position reports to the Software Development Manager (SDM);
Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of the .Net environment and in particular programming in C#;
- Proven experience with developing SharePoint web parts OR proven experience with SQL reporting services OR proven experience with using a rules engine
- Experience in the design and development of Web based application using C# and ASP.Net;
- Experience in developing Enterprise Systems;
- Thorough knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server environment and in particular Transact SQL programming;
- Thorough knowledge of CSS 2.0;
- Experience in writing cross-browser compatible javascript;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Experience in high level IT system design and specifically in Object Oriented analysis and design;
Desired Competencies
- Demonstrate capacity to effectively deal with both technical and business people;
- Experience on large projects in an agile environment;
- Ability to provide accurate software development time estimates for system functionality;
- Interest in creating systems;
- Experience in developing web services;
- Experience with role based security;
- Exposure to nHibernate;
- Exposure to Team Foundation Server;
Qualifications
- Formal IT qualifications or equivalent professional experience;
- Microsoft Certification highly desirable;
