NOC Group Manager

Network Operations Group Manager will oversee functionality of the Manila NOC with 74 employees providing support of Managed WAN and Project Engineering. Candidate will be directly responsible for contractual SLA compliance, Incident Management, Circuit/Site Acceptance, Non US IDN management, Remediation functions, LCPM reporting and change implementations for all customers supported in the region.
The role of the Group Operations Manager requires proven managerial and organizational skills and experience in a large LAN/WAN network operations or data center environments. This position requires highly-developed technical skills, including the ability to analyze, lead, and direct projects, tasks, and personnel in all efforts basic to the installation, repair, and maintenance of WANs and associated server, firewall, and appliance systems support.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Candidate must be self-motivated, must initiate/lead projects, and must be a team player who will positively represent as a visible leader and coach. Candidate will support an “Always On” operation, where dedication and commitment is essential. This position may need to support his/her personnel during off-hours, on weekends or holidays; depending-upon the support need in a 24x7 critical environment. This position requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a LAN/WAN network operations environment with 5 to 7 years of personnel management or leadership experience. An advanced knowledge of WAN protocols, switches, network management tools, and ITIL certification is desired.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training (Military, vocational, life experience)
• 10+ years of experience in a related technical discipline and/or minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience
• Strong Business writing and Oral skills
• Excellent planning, organizational, problem solving and decision making skills
• Ability to direct and control people and projects
• Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with subordinate supervisors, vendors, contractors, customers, senior management, and/or functional peer group managers
• Ability to use a PC for word processing, spreadsheet usage, database upkeep and communication software
• Must demonstrate the ability to handle diversified duties requiring an extensive knowledge of a particular field
