CPE Inside Sales Engineers (6)

Functional Requirements
The Inside Sales Engineer will provide presale technical support for customer premises-based Data, VoIP, and traditional Voice equipment to customers, field Solution Engineers. The primary functions include; accurate and timely bill of materials (BoM) interpretation, quotation and technical support, communication with customers, manufacturers, and customer service/order management to facilitate the sale of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). The engineer will work with the sales teams (account managers and field solution engineers) to develop and recommend CPE solutions to meet the customer's business requirements. The Engineer will utilize product manufacturer’s tools and customer service/support to quote/price, order, and fulfill CPE for the assigned customer base. The selected candidate must have a basic working knowledge across multiple technical disciplines including IT/Data/Voice/Video applications and convergence technologies.
Essential job tasks include but are not limited to:
• Review and interpret customer needs based on BoM and specifications.
• Proactively facilitate timely proposals to customer requests by utilizing available systems (manufacturer configurator and quoting tools).
• Project manage small to medium projects on as needed basis.
• Establish and maintain the highest possible commercial relations with present and potential customers (internal and external) by effectively employing the highest level of skills with regard to the selling, solution engineering, product knowledge, knowledge of customers business and organization and knowledge of plans for sales growth.
Minimum Qualifications
• A high-energy individual with a positive attitude, good teamwork skills and customer communication experience is required.
• 2+ years in the telecommunications, information technology, and/or systems integration industries.
• 1+ years previous sales engineering or technical sales consulting.
• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related degree.
• Basic Cisco, Nortel, or Avaya certifications.
• Command of the English language
Additional Qualifications
The candidate should demonstrate abilities in self- motivation, communication and teamwork. Good oral/written communication skills are desired for the fulfillment of solutions to customers/co-workers. Strong computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, email, database, Internet search) are a must.
