Job Description
• Reviews functional and detailed requirements specifications to ensure that software requirements are verifiable and quantifiable
• Works with Software Engineers to understand system requirements for current and new applications
• Develops and prepares software test plans
• Builds test cases and test data sets based upon the software requirements
• Updates existing software test plans, test cases, and test data based on requirement changes and test analysis
• Participates in peer and management reviews of test cases
• Executes black box manual/automated tests and prepares the appropriate reporting documentation
• Identifies, analyzes, and documents defects, questionable functions, errors, and inconsistencies in software applications
• Provides status reports on the progress of assigned quality control activities
• Provides effort estimates, constraints, and dependencies as input to quality testing schedule estimation

Job Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
• Candidate must have at least 2 years work experience in software testing (test case identification, development and execution)
• Must have working knowledge of the software development life cycle, test life cycle, different software testing techniques and software testing methodology
• Must have working knowledge of Windows (XP, 2003, Vista, 2008) and Unix (Sun Solaris, HP)
• Must have strong problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
• Must have working knowledge in the use of technologies for detecting and tracking defects
• Must be keen to details, strong desire to quality
• Must be willing to render overtime when necessary
• Must be multi-tasking and able to work independently with minimal managerial oversight
• Must have excellent communication skills in English
• Must be willing to work in The Fort
• Full time/permanent position available
