Hardware Sourcer/Buyer (Home-based)

We are looking for a hard working and determined hardware buyer to thrive in a start-up environment and do the following key responsibilities:
- Sourcing reliable cost effective suppliers
- Negotiates prices, terms, and conditions with potential suppliers with the objectives to minimize cost and maintain highest quality at all times
- Obtains and compares quotes from different suppliers to select the ones that provide the best value (quality and price) to the Company
- Monitors delivery schedule for all open orders to match production and development needs
- Evaluates vendor reliability and performance, including on-time delivery performance, receiving problems, and rejected material
- Resolves discrepancies between POs, receiving, and invoices
- Organizes data, and generates reports for management reviews
Requirements
- At least 3 years experience as a buyer/sourcer in both high-tech, R&D, and manufacturing environments
- Intense experience in reviewing contracts and negotiating with suppliers
- Full understanding of the entire procurement and purchasing process
- Degree in business or engineering field is an advantage
