DBA Developer (Project Based)

SPECIFICATIONS
Job Summary/ Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Data Modeling
• Collaborate with the Business Analyst, Lead Developer and Infra team in designing and implementing
the most efficient product design required by the project
• Perform system monitoring and troubleshooting
• System Performance analysis
• Support and deploy new application releases
• Install necessary patches and affect required database fixes
• Management of data backup and restoration procedures
• Install data patches
• 2nd level support on live applications
Minimum Educational Attainment / Course:
• College graduate / BS Computer Science / BS Computer Engineer / BS IT and other computer Related college courses
Work Experience / Special Training / Qualifications
• At least 2 years work experience in any development project as a DBA / developer
• Participate in the development and different test levels
• Exposure to process and other workflow related IT projects
• Experienced and familiarity with administration of Oracle databases
• Strong analytical skills and able to assess and tap opportunities for process improvements
• Able to develop, modify, review database designs
• Can perform task with minimum supervision
• Familiarity and experienced in SDLC methodologies
• Must have good English communication skills both verbal and written
• Willingness to learn new methodologies and techniques
• Solid grasp of database architecture and SQL queries
• Performance Tuning
• Security and resource management
• Setup, configuration, patching, upgrades
• Database maintenance
• Software networking: Windows 2000/2003 Enterprise Server, Windows scripting, Experience in using
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Proxies, Firewalls and Oracle GRID control
Abilities / Skills / Competencies:
• Ability to analyze and design an efficient database design
• Ability to develop and execute database design into a physical database structure
• Ability to review project deliverable for completeness and quality, and compliance with established project standards
