Expert PHP Programmer / MYSQL Developer
We are looking for an experienced PHP programmer / developer with excellent knowledge of PHP, MYSQL, Apache and related web based technologies. The right candidate will be hired to work for us remotely on a full time basis - and will become the lead programmer on an ever developing existing project both in a product expansion, maintenance and support role.
Requirements;
• Expert Level PHP programmer with at least 3+ years experience.
• Advanced MYSQL with at least 3+ years experience.
• Must be able to program and manage systems with a high level of security and protection.
• Excellent XHTML / HTML / CSS / Ajax experience.
• Excellent knowledge of the WordPress CMS and other popular open source CMS products.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Solid references and examples of previous work essential.
• Must have initiative and the ability to come up with independent solutions to unique problems in a timely fashion.
Job Description;
You will become the lead programmer on a project which involves the further development of an existing distributed PHP application (WordPress Plugin) which connects to a central server based network (where the primary functionality of the network programming resides and communicates with the individual Plugin installations on third party websites).
You will be responsible for managing both aspects of this project.
In the future you will also be required to create additional plugins for other open source platforms such as (PHPBB, MoveableType, TypePad, Jamoola, Drupal etc) to enable webmasters using these platforms to also participate in our network and therefore communicate and interact with our central server.
You will also be responsible for ensuring the network remains functional should any updates be required to continue business operations and such work needs to be carried out as a priority which might extend into overtime.
Full time commitment to our company (8 hours per day, 5 days each week) is required. You must be reliable, trust-worthy and have a high level of integrity. You must also be available at all times during your shift on Skype (or other IM) and daily updates, progress reports and communication will be essential.
