Technical Skills Required:
-VB6 (expert level)
-MS Access Report Writing
-SQL/Stored Procedures
-Microsoft .NET
Knowledge in the following areas would be a plus:
-QuickBooks
-Accounting
-Point of Sale
-Windows Terminal Services
Requirements:
-10 years experience in related fields
-Fluent English skills
-Must be available to meet with US team members on a daily basis for at least two hours sometime between 08:00 - 17:00 Pacific Standard Time Mon-Fri
-Must be able to work full time - 8 hours a day / 5 days a week
-Great communication skills
-Must have high speed Internet access
Position:
We are seeking an application developer to work with an existing retail Point-of-Sale application written in VB6 that runs against an SQL database. This developer would be responsible for developing new features in the application, maintaining existing features, and researching and resolving customer support issues. Work may also include designing reports in MS Access.
This job can be high pressure, as any bugs in a POS application can cost our customers money. Any bugs must be addressed and resolved immediately.
Developers may be expected to work additional hours in the case of emergencies.
