Job Qualifications
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Candidate must have at least 2-3 years experience running, staffing, and managing a web development team
• Required skill(s): PHP, Agile, MySQL, CSS, HTML (5), AJAX.
• Must have extensive experience in MVC, Wordpress, Magento, and all common open-source technologies
• Must have experience with Java script frameworks such as JQuery, Dojo, Prototype, Scriptaculous
• Must have extensive experience with Ajax, DHTML, CSS, XML experience
• Can work with Tomcat and other application servers
• Must have used Git in client projects
• Must be able to develop test scripts, with familiarity and test automation software a big plus
• Must have advanced understanding of object oriented programming and other structured programming principles
• Must be competent in Java script and the use of Java script frameworks (JQuery)
• Must be competent in the use of database systems primarily MySQL
• Must be competent in developing/deploying software in a Linux production environment (scripting, etc)
• Must have experience configuring Linux servers for optimal performance
• Must have extensive experience with data and server security
• Must have experience working on complex E-Commerce and database driven web applications
• Must have extensive experience debugging code and diagnosing problems in production systems
• Must have extensive experience in XML
• Must have experienced with creating high availability and scalable systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of version control tools (e.g. Git, CVS)
• Must be comfortable developing new systems as well as maintaining an existing legacy PHP web application.
• Has excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Has skills in other languages considered an asset (Java, etc)
• Candidates must be comfortable with providing development time estimates and meeting the deadlines at all costs
• Can work independently
• Must be fluent in English
• Must have experience in implementing large, working software systems, especially for the web
• Must have working knowledge of integration of social-network apps such as Facebook and Twitter
• Must have demonstrable exceptional programming skills
• Must be able to take responsibility for all phases of software development and is comfortable with agile development methodologies
